With a loop machine and a delay he layers rhythms, melodies and sounds into drones, beats, chords, polyrhythms and sometimes chaos. An analog filter bank and a pitch shifter are used to add new colours to his already broad spectrum of saxophone sounds. Besides the alto sax he uses a Lyricon, the first analog electronic wind instrument made in the seventies. This time he will be joined by Paul Pallesen, a guitar virtuoso of a special kind. His guitar style is influenced by country, african music and jazz and his affection with irish folk becomes especially clear when he plays the banjo. The duo will play a mixture of free improvised electroacoustic soundscapes and swinging folktunes, blending in with the sounds of the computer keyboard and the electronic highway. All this can be followed worldwide LIVE on the ASCII website. http://squat.net/ascii --- ---------------------------kraken-------------------------------- Adminstrator: kraken-post-admin@dvxs.nl Over kraken zie: http://squat.net/ Krakenmail op www: http://www.dvxs.nl/~skwot 'How-To' Kraken-post: http://www.dvxs.nl/~kraken *** to get english help: mailto:posthelp@dvxs.nl
