i think we ought to organise a demo in haarlem for the last
arresto of the eviction of dec. 19th, if he is still held.
Since there was very little protest against these evictions,
3which were illegal and breaking with some agreements that
gave us at least some possibility to try to prevent
evictions of squats for which the owner has no plans/
permissions. In the Tolstraat, there is only a permision to
demolish part of the evicted squats. and in am*dam it is
commonly agreed by the city and the court, that without
buildingpermission and contracts with contractors,
demolition and eviction have to be delayed. Patijn confirmed
this in a citycouncilmeeting early this year, and they
seemed to have been respecting this, more or less.
these last eviction seems to be setting a new approach, and
in de Pijp it felt more like a pogrom to deter us ,
specially "foreigners with dogs and no business here", as
Patijn said on AT5-tv.I have seen many neighbours and even
ME-cops who strongly disagreed with the operation, bringing
food and coffee/ allowing people to go back into the squats,
in spite of their instructions.
nn2 was never charged with anything, he `s just being held
on the suspicion of not being here legally.
So let `s put some effort into getting this man out.
